Privacy Policy
DeenWell is an Islamic learning app. We built it to respect you and your data: no ads, no trackers, no selling of personal information — ever.
Using DeenWell without an account
You can use DeenWell as a guest. In guest mode, your progress (lessons read, streaks, quiz results, preferences) is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to us.
If you create an account
Signing in is optional and exists so your progress can be backed up and synced across devices. When you sign in (with Google, Apple, or email) we collect and store:
- Account information: your email address, display name, and a unique user ID.
- Learning progress: lessons completed, streaks, quiz results, bookmarks, and settings, synced to your account.
Authentication and data storage are provided by Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore), acting as our service provider. Data is encrypted in transit.
Purchases
If in-app purchases are offered, they are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play, with subscription status managed by RevenueCat as our service provider. We never see or store your payment card details.
Notifications
Daily reminders are optional, scheduled locally on your device, and can be turned off anytime in the app or in system settings.
What we don't do
- No advertising or ad networks.
- No sale or sharing of personal data for marketing.
- No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
- No collection of your location, contacts, photos, or files.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account and its synced data at any time from Profile → Delete account inside the app. This permanently removes your account data from our systems. You may also email us (below) to request deletion.
Children
DeenWell is intended for users aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
